Gifted Curriculum & Consulting
Consulting services include gifted program and curriculum evaluation, design and development, and professional learning for educators. Dr. Cortina speaks to educators, parents and community groups about gifted education matters including the academic and social emotional characteristics and needs of gifted students.
About
Lenore Cortina, Ed.D. has been involved in gifted education for over 30 years as a parent, general education teacher, gifted education specialist, professional developer, advocate, and in higher education.
Consulting
Consulting services are available to public and private schools and gifted education groups. Dr. Cortina works with schools to evaluate or design gifted programs and services. She speaks to community and parent groups related to gifted education, and provides professional learning and job-embedded instructional coaching to educators.
Curriculum
The Dragonflier Kids book series and companion curriculum units foster social-emotional AND academic growth in young gifted learners in grades K-2. Learning activities can be implemented at home, in the general education classroom or in the gifted classroom. Coaching notes for teachers and parents are included to support effective implementation of the units.
